Internet helps artist bridge the gap between hobby and visual composition...

...found this in the internet a couple of weeks ago...and it helped me to build the fake ice hockey goal behind the fake ice hockey goalie picuted below...

...which after shooting about 100 pucks at it looked like this afterwards...

...another display of the remains, this time in the gallery where i am showing it. KG Freiraum... Sleepytowne...

...in the same room with this work. The whole thing is pretty much a getaway with reference to Mike Bouchet. The opening is tonight.

Gurt Pfosten, tidying up and T.C.O.B.

circa 200 years later...

spinning a mellow yarn trail. Looking good though, this place.

Time is ticking. Mouth full of saliva. Gurt Pfosten practice tonight. -TeER-'s got a pizza going...

Later tonight i will prep some toolboxes...paint a life size ice hockey goaltender on thin wood I hope...if i get that far then i can begin firing pucks at it.

when i lick my arm, i am as salty as a pretzel. yum.

Coffee is ready...

I've got to write a speech for the gallery opening of a friend of mine, -TeER-.
Today, it has to be today. The gallery opeining is tomorrow night at Galerie Eboran in Salzburg Austria. Thats him in the striped long-sleeve blue shirt holding a glass of water and smiling for Orson, the photographer. Usually -TeER- is holding a cup of espresso coffee. He is not doing that in this photo.
It was the summer of 2003. I can tell, because in the photo my face is not visible, my shoe is. The shoe is the right shoe and it is untied. Its untied because i could not move it very well and I could not bend over very well. A month before this photo was taken I was operated on because I had a herniated disc in my back with partial paralysis to my right foot. Maybe that led me to hide my face during group photo sessions.

2003 (from left) -TeER-, Siegfried Zaworka, Frank Bartsch, my shoe, Orson Sieverding, Bodo Schlack and Katharina Sieverding.

2003 was a good summer so far as the weather goes...similar to this one...hot, mostly sunny...a Jahrhundertsommer. it was also the summer that Ratfarmer recorded its debut plate, street games.

I don't want to write a lot about 2003.

Actually, I wanted to post photos of buildings in Sleepytowne. Here goes...

...my question here is: which room in this building was so lucky to get the sniper window?

...70's stuff.

I need a new coffee.

Abandoned Courtyard Junctions Hi-Tech Nomad Footpaths

...training camp center and wildlife adventure squad 1325.

still picking out the remains of last nights grillah this morning.

earlier, i sat on my bed looking out the window for about 10 minutes. not even a second thought. the sky such a wonderful morning blue! falcon family swarming and scanning the immediate lower hills above Sleepytowne. took the elevator down to the ground floor, past the red-bull cola machine, walked outside and headed to the abandoned factory. vacant streets. a lone woman sat frowning at a street cafe. i guess they know what they have, or had, but now crusted with a dangerous filth the inhabitants will not budge...they crumble, let crumble and frown with content. in a way, harmless, but these people/ghost split-status ghouls got stuck like epoxy in Sleepytowne. i am lucky. i get to come and go.

things like: photo chemistry recycling, pirate festivals, lithon betonbeschichtung, ausstellungseröffnungsrede für TeER schreiben...überlegen...drandenken..., the institute of ape culture, screwing white wooden plates to walls in a place where painters will be painting pictures on the white wooden plates...are things i concern myself with.

all this and more in Sleepytowne.

Ancient Treasure found in Northampton closet

In England, people have machines like this one. Perhaps it has something to do with the Keltic roots.

...just another reason to love life.

locals prefer vests and 3/4 length trow!?

total excitment!
have moved to sleepytowne and noticed that the trend here is to wear vests and 'Dreiviertler' (local dialect, spoken with a hard boston accent). both seem practical, not only affordable, but physically practical as well...plenty of pockets for stuff like keys, coupons, club-membership cards, breathmints, cigarettes, lighters, portable phones, toothpicks, skin cream, beerbottle opener, etc. none of this really matters though.

ok, moving on...there are 3 baby falcons standing on the ledge of the tower, all watching and waiting for the mother-falcon to bring a mouse back to the ledge. this is amazing! truly a moment to remember. a fuji-moment. finally, after all these years there is a reason to sit on a garden table and study the ledge of the tower...listening to the falcon jabber and wait for the mother-falcon to bring back a mouse.

beautiful small meat eating hunting birds...its quite moving actually.

i am high on life

...and its just about time to fire up the grill and get a couple burgers rolling...
